Event Overview

The Home of the Brave America 250 / Colorado 150 Commemoration will take place July 4–5 at Bear’s Ranch in Durango, Colorado. This two-day community gathering celebrates America’s 250th anniversary and Colorado’s 150th year of statehood while honoring veterans and the generations of Americans who have served our country.

Set in the scenic San Juan Mountains, the event will bring together veterans, families, and the local community for a meaningful celebration of American heritage, Western traditions, and community connection.

Guests will enjoy a full schedule of activities including patriotic ceremonies, veteran recognition, historical storytelling, and family-friendly ranch experiences.

Family & Ranch Activities

The event is designed to be fun for all ages and will feature a variety of ranch-style activities and kids programming, including:

The weekend gathering will also mark the launch of the Home of the Brave “Phoenix Campaign,” a national fundraising effort to rebuild and expand the Home of the Brave Museum as a heritage campus dedicated to honoring veterans, preserving wartime history, and educating future generations.
